With a passion for the African continent, Justin left England in 1988 for a 2 year contract in Botswana. Since then, he has lived in South Africa and Kenya with a professional career which has provided extensive experience and involvement across most of sub-Saharan Africa. He was awarded an RAF Flying Scholarship aged 18 which sparked a passion for flying. He gained his commercial licence a few years later and now tries to manage a delicate balance between the corporate world, his long suffering (but understanding) family and week-end flying commitments. A concern for the environment and conservation was instilled at an early age by Justin’s mother who was a professional musician who donated most of her income to conservation and environmental causes throughout Africa. Whilst also a musician, Justin believes his flying ability has now superceded his abilities as a trombonist and violinist and he actively strives to make a difference through his commitment as a Bateleur pilot. |
